The Dublin site is one of Roadstone's (a subsidiary of the CRH Group) central production facilities for aggregates and concrete products. The company operates the Belgard Quarry there, the largest limestone quarry in Ireland and one of the largest in Europe. The quarry forms the foundation for the local, newly constructed ready-mix and transport concrete batching plant, which is also one of the largest of its kind in Europe with its peak output. In addition, the quarry supplies a block making plant as well as a double-block plant, which have reliably served the Irish market with a broad portfolio of solid, hollow, and light-weight concrete blocks since the late 1990s.
